Ngorongoro is one of the genuine miracles of Africa, a lost universe of wildlife and solitary magnificence in the near-perfect crater of a long-extinct volcano. This is a standout amongst the most remarkable places in northern Tanzania and ought to under no circumstances be missed.
And, aside from Ngorongoro Crater, existing in the limits of the 8292-sq-km Ngorongoro Conservation Area are some of northern Tanzania’s most prominent sights, including Oldupai Gorge and a significant part of the Crater Highlands (despite the fact that not OlDoinyoLengai and Lake Natron).
The main Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) doors are Lodoare (the main park entrance in case you’re coming from Arusha) and Naabi Hill, which is well outside NCA limits and offers premises with the Naabi Hill access to Serengeti National Park.
In case you’re camping, you’ll have to self-cater – the closest supplies of any note are in Karatu. Otherwise, the majority of Ngorongoro’s lodges and tented camps have restaurants, and most offer their rooms or tents on a half-or full-board basis. There’s a small canteen at the reserve’s headquarters.

Great experience with Best Northern Safaris! We did 2 tours (Safari & Climbing) with the team. The work they do is very exhausting and hard, but you always seem them laughing.
